"I'm into martial arts since 1989, working in self-defense and protection related issues around the globe, being a Krav Maga and Combatives Full Instructor and Wing Chun Sifu.

 

As a longtime member of the German Taekwondo national team I was u.a. multiple full contact German Champion, European Cup silver medal winner and 5th of the World Championship.

 

In my main job I'm a professor at the German Sport University Cologne and head of the Department of Pedagogy, specialized in questions of professional training and coaching. I'm in the media on a regular basis, being interviewed on the subjects of violence, martial arts and self-defense (including Focus, Stern, N24, ZDF, ARTE, WDR).

 

I am a member of the University of Liverpool's Tactical Decision Making Research Group, head of numerous self-defense research projects, as well as involved in the training and educational program of national police and rescue services."
